The Chromira Digital Printer produces a continuous tone photographic print up to 50 inches wide by any length. We offer Fuji Crystal Archive Paper in Matte & Glossy, Fuji Supergloss, Kodak Endura Metallic Paper and Fujitrans Backlit Display Material.

The Chromira exposes photographic paper in 24 bit color using Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). With the use of ZBE's proprietary Resolution Enhancement Technology each pixel is sharpened to a visual resolution of 425 pixels per inch (ppi). It uses red, green and blue LEDs, which travel side-to-side directly over the photographic printing material. This assures that each dot is uniform, with no elliptical distortion near the edges, as has been experienced with previous laser-based printers.

The quality of our Chromira is unsurpassed. It’s the perfect digital option for the discriminating photographer and artist. You provide a digital file, or we’ll create one from your film or artwork, assessing your needs to provide you top quality scans. Film is scanned on our Howtek drum scanner or Imacon Flextight scanner. Prints and flat art are scanned with our Scitex Flatbed scanner or our Large Format Digital Copy Camera.

Turnaround
Standard turnaround time is 2 business days for prints on 30" paper and 3 days for 50" paper. Faster turnaround may be available. Rush charges may apply.

Plug and Play Criteria

• Files must be flattened and uncompressed RGB .tif files.
• Files must be embedded with the Adobe RGB (1998) profile.
• Files must be sized, in inches, to desired print size at 250 ppi.
• Files must be 8 bits color per channel.
• Client must be working in a calibrated environment and is responsible for soft proofing the file before it is submitted. One may download our soft proof from this page.

Files submitted for Plug and Play must meet the following criteria:

Prints will be returned rolled, or rough cut if requested. Custom trimming will be charged the following:
$1.00 for 12x18 or smaller, $2.00 for 16x20 to 24x30, and $3.00 for sizes over 24x30
